Millions could be in line for summer bonus payments
Nationwide customers who used their current accounts during March could be in line for a £100 summer bonus.
Britain’s biggest building society could make more free payments as part of its Fairer Share scheme.
Over three million customers who met the criteria have benefitted in each of the last two years.

Last year, customers needed to have used their current accounts up to March 31.
That means paying for things in shops with a debit card or having direct debits going out, or having money such as your salary going in.
As well as this, they also needed to have a mortgage or savings account with Nationwide, and have at least £100 in savings, or owe at least £100 on a mortgage with Nationwide.
Should the same rules apply this year, customers who were using current accounts in March will be in for a payday – as long as they also have a savings account or mortgage and meet the criteria.
The building society has yet to confirm if the scheme will return this year, though experts believe it is likely.
A formal announcement is expected to be made on May 29.
It is then thought payments would follow in June, if the scheme is given the green light once again.
It would be the latest Nationwide giveaway following its £50 ‘big thank you’ payments to over 12 million customers following the takeover of Virgin Money.
Bosses say such giveaways are another reason for Brits to choose Nationwide.
The scheme is not set in stone to run annually, but determined each year on Nationwide’s financial position.
Senior figures have hinted it will be coming back however, stating it is their “intention” to run the Fairer Share scheme again in 2025.
