Sunny, warm Friday with some fire risk

Sunny and warm today with Red Flag Warning in effect for some areas in Central Florida

516. OUR FIRST WARNING METEOROLOGIST KELLIANNE KLASS IS HERE NOW. KELLIANNE WAKING UP TO PRETTY COMFORTABLE CONDITIONS. STILL MAY NEED A LIGHT JACKET FOR THE KIDS AT THE BUS STOP. YEAH, BUT THIS AFTERNOON IS GOING TO BE BEAUTIFUL OUTSIDE. WE HAVE A LOT OF SUNSHINE, TEMPERATURES WARMING UP INTO THE MID 80S, AND IT’S GOING TO BE A LITTLE BIT WINDY AS WELL. BUT OVERALL A GREAT FRIDAY. YOUR 12 HOUR FORECAST FROM 7 A.M. UNTIL 7 P.M. JUST FEATURES A LOT OF SUNSHINE, A COUPLE OF CLOUDS. WINDS TODAY PICKING UP OUT OF THE WEST SOUTHWEST AT 10 TO 20MPH. BUT THEN WE TRACK SOME CHANGES TONIGHT. THERE’S THIS COLD FRONT THAT’S GOING TO MOVE ACROSS THE NORTHERN GULF COAST, AND THAT’S GOING TO BRING IN A COUPLE OF SHOWERS, MAYBE EVEN A COUPLE OF THUNDERSTORMS. SO MOST OF THE DAY TODAY IS GOING TO BE ON THE DRY SIDE, MAYBE 1 OR 2 ISOLATED SHOWERS TRYING TO MOVE INTO NORTHERN FLAGLER COUNTY AROUND 3:00 4:00. BUT I DO THINK MOST OF THAT’S GOING TO STAY OUT OF OUR NORTHERN LOCATIONS. BUT BY 8:00, 9:00, WE’LL GET A COUPLE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING, ESPECIALLY IN SUMTER COUNTY, LAKE COUNTY, THEN WORKING TOWARDS THE I-4 CORRIDOR AROUND TEN 11:00 TONIGHT, PUSHING PAST I-4 AROUND MIDNIGHT. BY THE TIME IT HITS EASTERN ORANGE COUNTY, OSCEOLA COUNTY, AND BREVARD COUNTY, A LOT OF THAT ACTIVITY BEGINS TO FADE, BUT WE’LL STILL HAVE A COUPLE OF LINGERING SHOWERS AROUND MIDNIGHT, 1:00, AND THEN BY 5 A.M. SATURDAY MORNING, WE’RE WAKING UP TO DRY AND CLEAR CONDITIONS. NOW, THE STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS HIGHLIGHTED PARTS OF CENTRAL FLORIDA UNDER AN ISOLATED SEVERE WEATHER THREAT. MAYBE COULD SEE A STRONGER STORM IN WESTERN MARION COUNTY, BUT I’M NOT EXPECTING A BIG SEVERE WEATHER THREAT FOR ALL OF CENTRAL FLORIDA TONIGHT. RIGHT NOW, SOME OF THE MODELS SHOWING THAT WE’RE GOING TO BE EVEN DRY AS THAT FRONT PASSES ON THROUGH. SO THERE IS STILL SOME INCONSISTENCY WITH THE DATA, BUT DO KNOW WE’RE NOT LOOKING AT A BIG SEVERE WEATHER THREAT FOR TONIGHT. NOW THIS MORNING THINGS ARE NICE AND CALM. WE’RE WAKING UP TO MOSTLY CLEAR CONDITIONS FROM OUR INLAND SPOTS TO OUR COASTLINE, AND IT’S PRETTY COMFORTABLE. MOST OF US THIS MORNING ARE IN THE 60S, A COUPLE OF 50S IN MARION COUNTY. SO AS YOU DROP THE KIDS OFF AT THE BUS STOP, IT’S COMFORTABLE. MAY NEED THAT JACKET WHEN YOU PICK THEM UP FROM SCHOOL. WE’LL HAVE MOSTLY SUNNY CONDITIONS. IT’S GOING TO BE BREEZY AGAIN. THOSE WINDS TODAY PICKING UP AROUND 10 TO 20MPH, AND OUR HIGH TEMPERATURES TODAY AROUND 83 TO 86 DEGREES ALL ACROSS CENTRAL FLORIDA. BECAUSE OF THE WARM, WINDY AND DRY CONDITIONS. ONCE AGAIN, WE’RE UNDER A RED FLAG WARNING STARTING AT 1:00 THIS AFTERNOON, GOING UNTIL 7:00 THIS EVENING. THAT’S GOING TO INCLUDE VOLUSIA, SEMINOLE, ORANGE, OSCEOLA, POLK COUNTIES, AS WELL AS CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN LAKE COUNTY AND CENTRAL AND NORTHERN BREVARD COUNTY. THIS WEEKEND. WE’LL STAY DRY SATURDAY AND SUNDAY WITH PLENTY OF SUNSHINE, ALL THANKS TO HIGH PRESSURE IN PLACE AND OUR TEMPERATURES ON SATURDAY IN THE 70S. ON SUNDAY, UPPER 70S TO LOW 80S. BUT IT’S GOING TO BE THE MORNINGS THAT ARE GOING TO BE QUITE CHILLY. TEMPERATURES WILL BE INTO THE 50S SATURDAY MORNING, BUT SUNDAY MORNING WE COULD SEE SOME POCKETS OF UPPER 40S. SO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THOSE JACKETS IF YOU’RE GOING TO BE HEADING OUT THIS WEEKEND. IN THE EARLY MORNING HOURS STARTING NEXT WEEK. PLENTY OF SUNSHINE, HIGH TEMPERATURES RETURN TO THE MID 80S. WE’RE NEARING THE UPPER 80S ON TUESDA
