Carys Douglas, who is the daughter of Hollywood power couple Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas has shared rare pictures of her older brother Dylan
Catherine Zeta-Jones’ lookalike daughter Carys has delighted fans after sharing some rare snaps with her older brother Dylan while on a wholesome family getaway with their famous mum and dad, Michael Douglas.
Carys 21, who is studying Film and International Relations at Brown University, posted an array of pictures of herself and Dylan, 24, as they enjoyed some quality time together while conquering an ambitious mountain hike. The hiking trip photos appear to be a throwback from their holiday to Patagonia last year.
Alongside the pictures, she wrote: “More moments from this magical place.” While Carys is currently studying at Brown University, her older brother Dylan has explored acting after being influenced by his famous parents. The 24-year-old and hosts a popular podcast.
In October of last year, Don’t Say A Word actor Michael, 80, shared some sweet moments with his daughter when he visited her at college. Carys, who has made her parents proud by getting into the Ivy League institution in Rhode Island, has made her mark academically.
During his visit, Michael posted a touching photo on Instagram, capturing a moment with Carys on the campus surrounded by the stunning autumn scenery.
He wrote: “Spending a fall Sunday with my daughter Carys at school.” Carys quickly responded in the comments, saying: “I had the best time with you, Dadda.”
At the time, on the back of his post fans rushed to the comment section. One fan said: “Awesome father-daughter photo.” Another penned: “Carys looks like a mixture of you both. Beautiful girl.”
This is Michael’s second marriage as he was previously married to Diandra Luker in 1977. The couple share one child together, named Cameron, who is 45. Michael and Diandra divorced in 2000.
During the same year, he married Catherine. Michael’s eldest son has followed in his father’s footsteps as he too is an actor. He starred alongside his father in the 2003 film It Runs In The Family.
In 2021, while on The Drew Barrymore Show, Catherine revealed that both Carys and Dylan are focused on an acting career. She said: “Their love of the craft of acting is so strong that even when their brains are doing politics and history in school, their passion is acting. And they’ve never done anything professional, but they would like to go into acting.”
Michael has reportedly warned his daughter that if she goes into acting she will forever be known as the “daughter of.” Catherine said: “In fact one has to prove oneself more, so even with that deterrent my kids are like, ‘No, sorry we still want to do it.'”
