Preparation is underway in the city of Vicksburg as the Mississippi river continues to rise.The state of emergency was issued earlier this month as water from Kentucky, Arkansas, and Tennessee head south.The water is expected to crest at 47.5 feet by early next week.One man said he thinks people who live on the outskirts of the city will be affected the most.
