Post Malone’s ex-fiancée is filing for primary physical custody of their daughter.
On Wednesday, April 16, the “Sunflower” singer’s ex, Hee Sung “Jamie” Park, filed for physical custody of her and the 29-year-old rapper’s 2½-year-old daughter, who’s being referred to by her initials DDP, according to legal documents filed in Los Angeles Superior Court and obtained by PEOPLE.
The court document also shows that Park wants joint legal custody and is willing to give Post Malone, whose real name is Austin Post, visitation rights. Park also wants Malone to cover her legal fees. Under child support, it states, “The court may make orders for support of the children and issue an earnings assignment without further notice to either party.”
A representative for Malone did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

The “Congratulations” rapper welcomed a daughter with his former fiancée in May 2022 — just weeks after he told PEOPLE they were expecting. The Grammy winner did not share an official birth announcement for his daughter, instead, he slipped the happy news of his baby’s arrival into a conversation with Howard Stern in June 2022.
A few months later, during an interview with GQ, the Crocs collaborator opened up about the challenges of balancing life on the road and fatherhood.
“It’s really tough not being able to see her, but she’s coming out more often now,” he told the outlet. “I’m just happy to see her. But it is heartbreaking having to leave and not be able to be with her all the time.”
In an August 2023 episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, host Alex Cooper asked Malone what his biggest fear in life is. “I guess not being able to be there for my baby, which is a new fear,” the rapper said. “That’s why I tried to slow down on drinking, to take better care of my body.”

While speaking with CR Fashion Book for the Muses issue in September 2023, the “Circles” rapper opened up about his decision to keep both his daughter and his former fiancée out of the spotlight.
“I feel like a lot of people feel entitled to know every single detail of everyone’s life and it’s why I don’t want to post any pictures of my baby, because I want her to be able to make that decision whenever she wants to and is ready,” he told the outlet.
“We live in such an interestingly semi-connected world where everybody is a phone call away, but you lose a lot of the intricacies and nuance of being with the person and seeing what’s actually happening.”
