If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, April 11-13, there are festivals, food, music and more.
Dogwood Festival
The 89th Atlanta Dogwood Festival returns to Piedmont Park on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with hundreds of artists showcasing their creations, including painting, sculpture, jewelry and more. There will also be the Mimosa 5K race, live music, a kids village, food trucks, and student art on display as part of the Atlanta High School Art Exhibition. Hours are Friday from noon to 9 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Record Store Day
The metro’s independent record stores will celebrate all things vinyl on Saturday, April 12, as part of international Record Store Day. The annual event sees the release of limited-edition albums, singles, and re-pressings of classics for collectors. Atlanta Spring Wine Festival
Sip and savor at Historic Fourth Ward Skate Park on the Atlanta Beltline on Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. There will be more than 50 different wines, ciders and beers to sample along with food, live music and more. Tickets are $55 in advance or $65 on Saturday if any are still available.
Sip Brookhaven
Head to the Oglethorpe University campus on Saturday from 3 to 6 p.m. to sample food and drinks from local chefs. Advance tickets are $75 or $85 at the entrance.
Kylie Minogue
The Australian pop diva has only played Atlanta a couple of times in her nearly 40-year career, but after the success of the single “Padam Padam” will bring Kylie Minogue’s “Tension Tour” to State Farm Arena on Friday night. British pop star Rita Ora is the opening act. Tickets, which vary in price, are still available.
