Gran Canaria Stadium is set to host the exciting weekend matchup between home side UD Las Palmas and visiting club Real Sociedad on Sunday in La Liga action. The visitors head into the meeting having been able to secure a total of 38 points in 29 matches so far this season, to go along with an overall record of 11 wins, five draws and 13 losses. In Real Sociedad’s most recent outing, the team visited Santiago Bernabéu Stadium to face Real Madrid in the second leg of the Copa del Rey semifinals on Tuesday. The two teams facd off in the first leg at Anoeta Stadium on Feb. 26, where Endrick scored in the 19th minute to give Los Blancos the 1-0 victory.

In leg two, Ander Barrenetxea opened the scoring in the 16th minute to give Real Sociedad the 1-0 lead. Then, Endrick scored again to equalize for Real Madrid in the 30th minute.
It wasn’t until the 72nd minute when David Alaba scored into his own net that Real Sociedad once again took the lead. Later, Mikel Oryazabal found the back of the net to make it 3-1 in favor of his club, a lead which would put the it through to the cup final.
Jude Bellingham then pulled one back for Real Madrid in minute 82, while Aurélien Tchouaméni made it 3-3 in the 86th. Oryazabal scored again in the 93rd minute to make it 4-3 and put the match into overtime.
Finally, Antonio Rüdiger scored the definitive game-winning goal in the 115th minute to put Real Madrid through to the Copa del Rey final.
