Luffy is back, but Kizaru is one toughie in this anime!

One Piece Egghead Part 2 Story:

One Piece: Egghead returns with its second part six months after the hiatus. Luffy is back on the dangerously confusing island, which is obviously exciting for him to explore. Is the return worth the wait? Here’s exploring exactly that…

One Piece Egghead Part 2 Review:

One Piece’s story shifts back to Loguetown, among other places across the sea before it shifts to Egghead Island, where Luffy and his pirate gang are back to exploring the beauty as well as dark side of this futuristic island. After taking down Kaido, Luffy became one of the Four Emperors and this news is passed down by the crows of Egghead. This is how Egghead, one of the most-awaited arcs on One Piece, commences, and while the excitement is at peak, the series gets moving almost right after the introduction.

Kizaru, who was headed to Egghead with an army, raised more curiousity about this arc, but can the anime keep up? To begin with, of course! Luffy and his story rarely ever disappoints, and we are off to a great start even with the Egghead Island Arc, part 2. This is where almost every Dr. Vegapunk (six in total initially) clashed against York. This villain in hiding was out to kill the original Dr. Vegapunk and we know what happened there (of course, Luffy and his pirate gang helped out).

Egghead part 2 begins with Luffy’s hostage situation on the island. Every person close to Luffy is obviously concerned, but we know better by now – Luffy is doing what he does best i.e. exploring newer opportunities while being mindlessly happy about the process. All of this while the world was undergoing a drastic change owing to a natural disaster – floods.

The start of this series is with the Government vs York. The Luffy twist at the end of this rather confusing episode is typical One Piece. It is chaotic, fun, scary and exciting all at once. While busy devouring his chicken, Luffy makes an important decision – to escape Egghead already – all while playing dress-up as Vegapunks with his pirate gang. Like we said, typical of Luffy and his gang, the stuff that One Piece is made up of!

Luffy and Hancock (actually S-snake)’s reunion in the second episode is the cutest thing in the season so far. Lucci’s character build is interesting enough, too, but it is mysterious and brief, much like his whole personality.

Meeting the Giants on Elbalph, as always, leaves Luffy and Usopp dancing with their last braincell activated. Dr. Vegapunk and Franky bonding over Sunny (Luffy’s ship)’s powers is just as much geeks united, and it simply makes you smile.

Kizaru, as always, makes a rather flashy entry, but this time, it is against his own niece, Sentomaru. The episode ends on the biggest cliffhanger – Luffy and his pirate gang are still trapped, and in a worse situation than before.

One Piece Egghead: Part 2 Verdict:

One Piece does not disappoint too much, either on the storyline or the VFX front. Of course, we have seen better moments, but for a six-month hiatus, One Piece is definitely back and it leaves almost no traces of a mistake behind. The story is yet unfolding and thus, it is not the best out there, but One Piece remains legendary nonetheless.
