COLUMBIA, S.C. – Samford sophomore Gabi Nicastro finished fourth and Samford placed sixth as a team at the Southern Conference Women’s Golf Championship, held Monday through Wednesday at Solina Golf Club (Par 72, 6,098 yards).
Nicastro finished with a three-round score of 223 (75-74-74) to finish in a tie for fourth in the 45-player field.
Anika Richards finished in a tie for 22nd with a three-round total of 234 (75-79-80). Grace Engel finished in a tie for 27th at 241 (82-77-82). Christian Williams (85-81-82) and Morgan Franklin (88-81-79) both tied for 32nd with identical three-round scores of 248.
As a team, Samford finished with a three-round score of 943 (317-311-315), tying Samford with Western Carolina for sixth place. Furman won the event with a final score of 898 (295-305-298).
