SHERMAN, Texas (KXII) – Police are conducting what we now know is a death investigation at a Sherman apartment complex.
A large police presence could be seen Thursday morning at the Westwood Gardens Apartments in Sherman.
Sherman Police and Crime Scene Units are responding to the scene on Archer Circle Thursday afternoon, and crime scene tape now surrounds the apartments.
Our News 12 crew was there when a body was removed from an apartment Thursday afternoon. They also saw a funeral home respond to the scene.
So far, all the Sherman Police Department has said on the incident is that they are “working an investigation” and has asked the public to avoid the area.
They also said there was no danger to the public.
No other information has been released, as of 4 p.m.
