If Ty Pennington is on your screen, that only means one thing—Rock the Block is officially back for a brand new season. As one of HGTV’s highest-rated and most anticipated shows, fans can look forward to a season unlike any other.
Now going into its sixth season, veteran home renovators are going head-to-head with rookies for a major win as they put their own signature styles on four identical homes. All teams consist of familiar HGTV stars and over a seven-episode period, each team will battle it out to see who will be crowned season 6 champions and have a street named in their honor. Each episode will give fans a glimpse into creative renovations and jaw-dropping home transformations.
But, fans also might be wondering: where is the show filmed this season? If that sounds like you, you’ve come to the right corner of the internet. In previous seasons, the show has filmed in California, Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, and Colorado. They’re bringing the series to an all-new state for season 6.
Where is Rock the Block Filmed?
Based on the show teasers posted on Instagram, it’s clear that this season of Rock the Block takes place somewhere with a beautiful mountain backdrop. After doing some sleuthing, we found that the show is being filmed in Grantsville, Utah. The town sits just outside of Salt Lake City and has a population of about 15,000, according to the 2023 census. According to the first episode, the town’s population has grown 26% in the past 5 years.
Each of the four homes being renovated this season is part of the Hamlet Homes Worthington Ranch Community—a newly developed suburban community that offers picturesque mountain views and the perfect canvas for each Rock the Block team to make their mark.
Season 6 of Rock the Block premieres Monday, April 14 at 9/8C. New episodes will be available to stream the next day on Max and discovery+.
