It’s WrestleMania week, and the WWE world waits to see John Cena again.
The farewell tour for the 16-time WWE champion is reaching its climax as Cena prepares to face Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 41. It’s already been a wild year for Cena, as he not only secured the title match in his last WrestleMania, but he shockingly turned heel when he attacked Rhodes in a vicious assault of the champion.
Since the brutal assault, Cena has been in the ring to justify his actions, but he hasn’t appeared in WWE since it wrapped up its European tour on March 31. With WWE’s biggest event rapidly approaching, here’s what to know about Cena’s appearance leading up to WrestleMania.
Will John Cena be on Raw tonight?
No. Cena is not scheduled to appear on WWE Raw on April 14 in Sacramento, California. He is not advertised on WWE’s website.
When is John Cena’s next WWE appearance?
It will be the day before WrestleMania. Cena is scheduled to appear during SmackDown on Friday, April 18 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. His WrestleMania opponent, Rhodes, is also scheduled for the show.
When is John Cena’s next match?
The Undisputed WWE Championship match against Rhodes on April 20 is expected to be Cena’s next match. It’s unlikely he wrestles on April 14.
John Cena’s 2025 matches
When Cena announced his retirement plan at Money in the Bank 2024, he said he planned to make 30-40 appearances in 2025. So far this year, Cena has made six appearances. He made his first one at the Raw on Netflix debut.
Cena has only had two matches in 2025: the men’s Royal Rumble match and men’s Elimination Chamber match. The SmackDown appearance on April 18 would make it seven appearances in 2025. WrestleMania 41 is scheduled to be his eighth showing and third match of the year.
When will John Cena be at WWE in 2025?
After WrestleMania 41, Cena will have plenty of appearances. WWE does have dates for when Cena is supposed to appear next. Those dates and events are:
